IC Anaerobic Reactor

The IC anaerobic reactor, or IC anaerobic, is composed of two UASB (Upflow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket) reactors connected in series. It consists of two reaction chambers, an upper one and a lower one. When treating high-concentration organic wastewater, the influent load can be increased to 20-40 kgCOD/(m³.d). Compared to the UASB reactor, the IC anaerobic reactor achieves higher influent volumetric loading rate and sludge loading rate under the same treatment rate conditions. The average upflow velocity of the IC anaerobic reactor can reach about 20 times that of the UASB reactor for treating similar wastewater. It is widely used in the fields of high-concentration organic wastewater treatment, pretreatment of refractory organic wastewater, and nitrogen and phosphorus removal from wastewater.

Application

It is suitable for the treatment of wastewater discharged by the food, biological, chemical and other industries, all of which are high-concentration organic wastewater. It is often used in the pretreatment stage of aerobic biological treatment processes.

Features

1. High treatment capacity, suitable for high-pollutant wastewater.

2. Low operating cost, mainly relying on anaerobic microorganisms for treatment, no need to add chemicals or auxiliary equipment.

3. Low investment, small footprint.

4. Convenient operation and management.

Installation form

Ground installation

Main material

Main material: carbon steel

How it works

The sewage enters the bottom of the reactor through a lifting pump, and a water distributor is set at the water inlet to make the water inlet at the bottom as even as possible. The sewage passes through the reaction area containing granular sludge or flocculent sludge from bottom to top. The anaerobic reaction occurs in the process of contact between the wastewater and the sludge particles. The anaerobic granular sludge (microorganisms and carriers) decomposes the pollutants into biogas, and the solid, liquid and gas are separated through the three-phase separator at the top of the reactor. The sludge is kept in the reactor, and the biogas is discharged to the combustion torch. The sewage supernatant enters the subsequent treatment stage.

structure

The functional structure of the anaerobic reactor mainly includes: water inlet and distribution area, reaction area, separation area, drainage system, exhaust system, etc.

The equipment is mainly divided into: equipment cylinder, water distribution device, three-phase separator, overflow weir, biogas collector, etc.
