Sludge Scraper/Suction Machine

Sludge scrapers/suction machines, also known as mobile scrapers, are specialized equipment used for wastewater treatment and for removing settled sludge from sedimentation tanks. These machines typically consist of a bridge that spans the tank, a drive unit, a suction system to collect the sludge, and a skimmer to remove surface debris. The collected sludge is then transported out of the tank, effectively cleaning the bottom and improving water quality.

The DZBX series single (full) peripheral drive sludge scraping/suction machine (thickener) is commonly used in radial flow sedimentation tanks in wastewater treatment projects, especially in secondary sedimentation tanks, for scraping and discharging the sludge from the bottom of the tanks. The tank shape typically adopts a central inlet and peripheral outlet design. Pump-driven sludge removal. A flat-bottom structure can be adopted for the tank bottom. The scum, foam, and other debris on the water surface can be scraped and discharged to the outside of the tank, scum pit, or scum bucket by the scum scraping device.

The machine mainly consists of a main beam (truss or folded-plate beam), overflow weir, transmission device, flow stabilizer, sludge suction device, sludge discharge chute, scraper, scum collection and sludge discharge facilities, and power transmission equipment.

Working Principle

1. Scraping: The V-shaped scrapers on the machine collect the sludge that settles on the tank bottom.

2. Suction: The collected sludge is then sucked into the suction pipe by the suction system.

3. Discharge: The sludge and water mixture is transported through the system (typically by siphon or pump) to a separate tank or area for further treatment.

4. Scum Removal (Optional): Some machines are equipped with a skimmer to remove scum from the water surface and direct it to the scum tank.

Key Components

1. Working Bridge/Main Girder: This is the structural component that spans the water tank.

2. Drive Track: This is the mechanism that allows the bridge to move along the tracks on the surface of the water tank.

3. Slurry Suction System: This consists of pipes and pumps that suck up the sludge and water mixture.

4. V-Scraper: This is a tool that directs settled sludge into the suction pipe.

5. Skimming Device: This is an optional component used to remove floating debris from the water surface.

6. Electrical Control Cabinet: This controls the operation of the machine.

Applications
