Automatic high-speed filtration units are high-capacity filtration equipment suitable for high-speed processing operations. They are a new type of filtration equipment primarily used to remove suspended solids and solids from water.

How Does It Work?

Incoming water is pumped into a mechanical high-speed filter, where it is distributed across the inlet screen. It is then pressurized within the tank and flows through the filter media before being collected and discharged at the outlet. During the cleaning cycle (also known as "backwash"), the impeller rotates, moving and lifting the filter media ("fluidizing"), loosening it and releasing trapped dirt, which is then removed in the backwash water. After the backwash cycle, the filter media is allowed to settle before the filter is returned to service. A flushing cycle after settling ensures that the filter media is fully re-stratified and any loose dirt in the underdrain/collector is removed. These backwash components have proven to be the optimal technology for fluidizing filter media and can be used in high-flow vertical installations. Importantly, backwashing requires no chemicals, surfactants, or air sparging cycles.

Industrial water filters are used to remove harmful impurities such as contaminants, particles, sediment, bacteria, parasites, viruses, fungi, and chlorine taste from drinking water, and are suitable for cleaning municipal and industrial projects. These filters are used in a wide range of industries, including the medical, pharmaceutical, food, agricultural, biotechnology, wastewater treatment facilities, and aquariums.

  3. The three-dimensional pores of the filter blocks reduce pressure loss and energy consumption. Their most significant feature is their ultra-high filtration rate (40-70 m³/m²/hour for LV filters, 10-15 m³/m² for sand filters).

  4. Compact Structure: Requires no additional backwash pump or storage equipment, resulting in a small footprint and lightweight design. (Compared to sand filters: 1/8 the body volume, 2/5 the diameter, and 1/4 the floor space).
