It utilizes a high-speed rotating drum and an internal screw conveyor to separate the solid and liquid phases of a slurry or suspension using centrifugal force. This process effectively dewaters sludge and achieves solid-liquid separation in applications such as plastic recycling and wastewater treatment. It can even be used to dry vegetables by forcefully removing moisture from the material.

Sludge Dewatering Machine Working Principle

  1. Feed: The suspension or slurry is fed into the rotating drum via a central feed pipe.

  2. Sludge dewatering Separation: The high-speed rotation of the drum generates strong centrifugal force, causing heavier solid particles to settle on the inner wall of the drum, forming a sediment layer.

  3. Solid Discharge: The internal screw conveyor rotates at a slightly different speed from the drum, continuously pushing these deposited solids toward the tapered end of the drum, where they are then discharged through the discharge port.
